Old Dogs Can Teach New Tricks!

Hey bloggers! Sorry I have disapeared off line. Been really busy writing new material for 2 Empty Pockets and teaching new pupils. I'll be posting more regularly now.

Hey guy's (& gals), I've been trawling through some of my old rock DVD's to get inspiration to help me create new styles of music. I dusted off an old DVD of the Stones. Man! I had forgotten how original they were for their time.

Listening to the Stones again I was inspired by how they blended an 'Indian/Oriental" sound into their version of the song "Paint it Black" to create a totaly new sound.



What styles of music have you guys found that have inspired you to new levels creativity and originality?

Hi there fellow rockers. My name is Mario. I have been involved with the music industry for over 20 years now teaching guitar & playing in various bands. My current project are a band called Two Empty Pockets. We play a jazz/pop style of music. To check us out click on the link above.

I have always been driven by the desire to be able to mix different music styles into one awesome music expression.

So what does this mean? I want to create an totally original music style that draws its inspiration from scources as diverse as blues, jazz, rock, latin, thrash, funk ..........You get the picture! ... WALLA! Fusion Music!

Do you think its possible to pull together a bunch of very different styles and creat something original that is actually worth listening to?

I'd love to hear from other music lovers who are interested in exploring this idea.
